Sensory Sessions at Makino

Join us for our Sensory Sessions held on the last Sunday of each month from 4:30pm – 5:45pm in the learn to swim pool at the Makino Aquatic Centre.

Our Sensory Sessions are designed to provide a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals and whānau who may benefit from a quieter swimming experience.

During the session we offer:
Exclusive use of the Learn to Swim pool
Music turned off
Pool toys available
Separate changing rooms
Caregivers swim for free
Normal admission fees apply

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the water in a more relaxed and supportive setting, with the pool closed off from the main public areas to help create a comfortable environment for everyone.
